Courts and venues are the physical resources that every match depends on. In Match Point, a venue represents a location such as a club, school, or sports complex, and each venue contains one or more courts. Setting these up correctly ensures that the scheduling system can check for conflicts, suggest open slots, and keep your calendar accurate.

Add a Venue and Its Courts

1

Open Settings > Venues

Navigate to Settings in the main sidebar, then select Venues from the submenu.
2

Add a venue

Click Add Venue and enter the venue name and full address. The address is used for map links in match notifications and tournament info pages.
3

Add courts under the venue

Inside the venue, click Add Court. For each court, provide a name, surface type (hard, clay, grass, or custom), and whether it is indoor or outdoor. These details help players prepare and help Match Point filter suggestions by preference.
4

Set operating hours

Define the days and hours each venue is open. Courts inherit these hours by default, but you can override individual court hours if one court closes earlier for cleaning or lighting limitations.
5

Mark courts as active

Toggle each court to Active so it appears in the scheduling pool. Inactive courts are hidden from match creation but remain in your records for historical reference.

Temporarily Block a Court

When a court needs resurfacing, repairs, or is reserved for a private event, you can block it without deleting it from the system. Open the court’s detail page, click Block Court, and set a start and end time. During the block, Match Point will not schedule any matches on that court and will warn you if an existing booking overlaps with the block period. Remove the block when the court is ready to reopen.
