How Scheduling Works
When you create a match or tournament round, Match Point checks three constraints:- Venue availability: which courts are open during the requested window
- Player availability: whether the participants have marked themselves free at that time
- Existing bookings: whether the court is already reserved for another match, practice, or event
Key Concepts
- Courts and Venues: A venue is a physical location, such as a club or sports complex. A venue contains one or more courts, each with its own surface type, indoor or outdoor designation, and operating hours.
- Availability Windows: Players set recurring weekly availability, such as weekday evenings or weekend mornings. Admins see a combined grid that shows when the most players overlap.
- Conflict Detection: Match Point prevents double-booking a court and warns you when a player is unavailable or already scheduled for another match at the same time.
