Match Point’s scheduling system connects three pieces of information to help you run smooth events: the courts and venues you have access to, the times your players are free to compete, and the matches or tournaments that need to be placed on the calendar. By keeping these elements in one place, the platform can detect conflicts automatically and suggest the best possible times for every fixture.

How Scheduling Works

When you create a match or tournament round, Match Point checks three constraints:
  1. Venue availability: which courts are open during the requested window
  2. Player availability: whether the participants have marked themselves free at that time
  3. Existing bookings: whether the court is already reserved for another match, practice, or event
If all three align, the slot is shown as available. If any conflict exists, Match Point flags it before you confirm the booking so you can adjust the time, change the court, or notify affected players.

  • Courts and Venues: A venue is a physical location, such as a club or sports complex. A venue contains one or more courts, each with its own surface type, indoor or outdoor designation, and operating hours.
  • Availability Windows: Players set recurring weekly availability, such as weekday evenings or weekend mornings. Admins see a combined grid that shows when the most players overlap.
  • Conflict Detection: Match Point prevents double-booking a court and warns you when a player is unavailable or already scheduled for another match at the same time.
